  As an Assistant Research Coordinator, I am responsible for addressing project needs and proposing positions plus next steps on familiar components in collaboration with superiors. I also conduct interviews, draft contracts and complete OA's of incoming students to assess their interests and assign appropriate roles based on their abilities.
  While completing this role I helped plan out students' research goals and managed a team comprising of both researchers and developers. To do this, I first worked with the team to identify the research goals that we wanted to achieve and the steps that would be required to reach them. This involved identifying any potential challenges or obstacles that we might face and coming up with strategies to overcome them.
  Once we had a clear understanding of the research goals and the path forward, I worked with the team to develop a plan for achieving those goals. This involved breaking the work down into manageable tasks and assigning responsibilities to each team member. I also helped to coordinate the team's efforts, ensuring that everyone was working towards the same objectives and that the team was making progress towards its goals.

  As a Research Assistant in AML Name Screening, I developed an autonomous web crawler with spam detection and multithreaded support for the dark web, and integrated both search engine and crawler into a prototype application. In addition, I gave presentations on my progress to the team and collaborated with other researchers.
  During my time as a Research Assistant, I also had the opportunity to learn about and work with Gitlab and Docker pipelines. I learned how to set up automatic documentation for the repository based on Sphinx as well as how to deploy docker containers on a development server.
  This helped me to better understand the development process and effectively collaborate with other team members. Working with pipelines also gave me valuable experience in managing and deploying applications in a production environment, which has been useful in my professional career. Overall, my experience as a Research Assistant at the Lassonde School of Engineering provided me with a strong foundation in both research and development, and gave me the skills and knowledge to be successful in a variety of roles in the field of engineering.
